ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú is tied for first place for the number of graduates who went on to earn a research doctorate, according to the National Science Foundation's (NSF) National Center for Science and Engineering (SED). The 2022 ranking, the SED's most recent, put ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú at the top of 574 master's colleges and universities.
ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú has consistently ranked high in the earned doctorates survey. Between 2013 and 2022, ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú was ranked fifth out of 647 masters-granting institutions. ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú graduates earned 579 research doctorate degrees in those ten years, including 125 in biological and biomedical studies, and 70 in psychology, followed by chemistry, education research, physics and astronomy, and other areas.
