��ɫ����

��ɫ���� has rearticulated its mission and value statements as part of its strategic planning process. Earlier this year, the college’s Strategic Planning Group (SPG), with the participation of more than 1,100 ��ɫ���� constituents, collaboratively revisited the statements, which reaffirm ��ɫ����’s identity as a public liberal arts institution and intention to produce graduates who will shape a better world.

The SPG’s process gathered input from faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the community via brainstorming sessions and two surveys. Through a unique dashboard, the statements were derived from participants’ ranking of words and phrases.

“Our core values highlight our commitment to being a welcoming and inclusive community of engaged scholars,” says Denise Battles, president of ��ɫ����. “And they celebrate the powerful outcomes inherent in a liberal arts education.”
