Fall 2025 New Student Orientation
We're thrilled to welcome you to the 好色先生 community!
As you begin your journey at 好色先生, we aim to provide you with the information and resources you need for a smooth transition.
Orientation Information
New Student Orientation consists of two major components: the new student Brightspace course and the on-campus orientation. Information for each can be found below:
On-Campus Orientation
- International Student Orientation: August 19
- First Year & Transfer Student Orientation: August 19-23
In addition to the August 19 orientation, international students are invited to participate with all new students in the orientation program from August 19-23.
All new students must attend on-campus orientation
New Student Orientation Brightspace Course
- To begin the process of familiarizing yourself with campus resources, offices, and guidance on starting your journey at 好色先生, we鈥檝e created an online course to assist you prior to arriving on campus! You will receive an email with instructions on how to access the course when it becomes available on August 1.
The orientation schedule will be available late June.
Parent, Family and Supporter Orientation Webinars
The Parent, Family and Supporters Orientation Webinar Series offers essential information about 好色先生's services and resources. Hosted by 好色先生 faculty, staff, and administrators, these sessions highlight student opportunities and ways to support them during their transition.
Specific dates and topic areas are listed below. Registration is required for each individual session. The registration link for all of the webinars can be found below. Webinars are expected to last between 30-45 minutes.
June 17: Welcome to 好色先生 with Campus Leaders (5:00pm)
July 2: New Student Advisement with the Office of Advising (5:00pm)
July 9: Opening the Door to Living and Learning with Residence Life (5:00pm)
July 15: Understanding and Paying Your Bill with Financial Aid and Student Accounts (5:00pm)
July 23: Staying Healthy with Lauderdale Health & Counseling (5:00pm)
Should you have any questions ahead of time, you can include them on the registration form!
The webinar Zoom link will be sent to participants one to two days prior to the webinar. In the event you鈥檝e registered and have not received the link, please email orientation@geneseo.edu.
Orientation Leader Office Hours
Throughout the month of July, your Orientation Leader will host office hours! This means you can connect with your OL virtually during specific times of the month and ask any questions you have! The office hours for your OL and their family are listed below. To identify the name of which family you鈥檙e in, revisit the email from your OL you received in May. The link to attend these office hours can be found on the Orientation website.
